In our hectic culture, we oftentimes forget the importance of connecting with ourselves and others. We don't make time to listen, either to our own inner selves or to others.
Through creative writing, we enter into the sacred space of listening on the page, and this process opens the door to our own unique voice and vision. This space is enlightening, sometimes surprising, and often even healing.
Sharing our work with others in a supportive enviornment breathes life into the work. As we present our work outside of ourselves, it touches others as well. As we listen to others share their work, it touches us. And it is in this touching that the true power of the word lies.
By connecting with ourselves and others through writing and sharing our works, we enter into a new understanding. This understanding helps us discover our own truths as well as those of others. This is the wonder and benefit of the A Way With Words Writing Workshops.
